How to connect your Ring Doorbell pro with Samrt TV

User can use their Ring Doorbell Pro with their Samsung smart TV to view their Camera view. Whenever your Ring doorbell pro detects motion, you can use you TV to monitor what is happening outside.

Samsung smart TV are only compatible with the Ring Doorbell Pro, user can not use Ring doorbell and Ring doorbell 2 with Samsung TV as these model are not compatible with these model.
For connecting Ring Doorbell user will need to connect their TV with Ring and SmartThings Apps.
Here's how to do it:

• First download the Ring app from the App store or pay store depending upon the OS you are using.
• Log in to your Ring account, if you don't have account create one.
• Now add your doorbell in the devices listed in the app.
• Download SmartThings from the App Store or Play store.

• Now open the Samsung SmartThings app on your phone.
• Open Devices and then add devices, then Add Device manually.
• Choose Doorbell then Ring
• After that log in to the Ring account. Once completed , the Ring service and Samsung SmartThings will be connected.

Note: These steps are only applicable for 2018 Samsung smart TVs( Models NU7400 and above)

How to connect your Ring Doorbell with Amazon Echo Show

Amazon has recently launched new Echo Show, in this blog we are going to discuss how to connect your Amazon Echo Show and Ring video doorbell. The setup itself is easy, it just involve adding the Ring Alexa skill through the Amazon smartphone app. Following are the steps that one have to follow to add Ring doorbell to Amazon Echo Show.

1. Go to the Amazon Alexa app. App can be downloaded app from both iOS and android store.
2. Tap on the three lines on the upper left corner of the app, it will open side menu.
3. Locate Skills & Games, tap on it.
4. Locate the search bar on top you will see search button on the upper right hand corner.
5. Type "Ring" in the search bar and hit search button.
6. Ring app will show up as a top result it will be in the blue color.
7. Install the app open it Tap on the Enable To Use button.
8. User will be taken to in app browser and where they have login into the Ring Account.
9. After logging in, Ring app will ask users if they want to discover your Ring devices.
10. Tap on Discover Devices.
11. Your Ring Doorbell will show up and connects automatically.
12. In case your Ring Doorbell doesn't connect, ask Alexa to find it, "Alexa, discover my devices."

How to Mount your Ring Doorbell to existing wiring

 

Step to install your Ring Doorbell 2 to your existing 2 way wiring.   

If you want your Ring Doorbell to connect to the existing internal bell (i.e. no Ring Chime )

Follow the instruction as below

• First open the Ring doorbell package and charge the battery of your Ring door bell.There will be two light red and green when it will be charging and only green light when it is fully charged.
• Now put the battery back into its slot you can hear click sound when the battery is secured at its place.
• Now Shut down your breaker box to avoid any electrical shock.
• Remove your existing doorbell and disconnect the wires.
• Use your Ring door bell to mark install location, if you are going to place your Ring doorbell on stucco or concrete wall use the drill bit provided to drill the hole and insert the provided anchor.
• If you are installing the Ring doorbell setup on the wood then you simply use the screw to place it directly into the wall.   
• The optimal height for your Ring doorbell is 4 ft above the ground, in case your existing wires are higher then use the wedge provided in the box.
• Now connect the existing wires to the Ring doorbell but be cautioned to use 8 to 24 VAC transformer and register must be used when connecting the wires
• Note DC Transformer and most of the intercoms are not supported.
• If your existing wires are short then you can use the extension wires provided in the box.
• In case you are using digital bell than you have to use the diode provided in the box. Please read the instruction carefully before installing it.If you are using mechanical bell you need not use the diode otherwise you will damage it.
• Now feed all the wires and secure your Ring doorbell at its place
